Sharrow Bay

Finally we got to put up black curtain pole in the living-room. It was very traumatic because Marcus hates anything to do with DIY.

Recoverd in time to go to Sharrow Bay for tea (a joint birthday present from a friend). Very luxurious place with magnificent views over Coniston Water to the Old Man. Lovely gift but, at the risk of sounding ungrateful, not nearly so nice as Rothay Manor. Food and seating much better we both thought. Beautiful gardens however - and a nice cat!
